Sonic is a mock music app I designed heavily influenced by Spotify and slightly inspired by aspects of Apple Music. Music is a big part of my life so I use Spotify nearly every day. This project is my own personal take on a music app.
As with any home page, placing the most useful/important content is top priority. Users can side-scroll through each listed section to review a number of their recent listens, new music and more.
The music player includes everything the user needs to control their music as well as like individual songs as they go, add songs to playlists, and visit the album or artist. Giving easy access to these options is important for an easy user experience.
For the collection I took the route of organizing the music with tabs. The tabs up top, depending on what section is selected, are highlighted with a strong yellow colour which clearly stands out from the grey background.
